Over 300,000 shifts registered via Mobile and Web
In May of 2019 Spain introduced new legislation requiring all companies to record timesheets for each of their employees. Previously, companies only had to keep timesheets for part-time employees and typically did so with physical paper sign-in sheets that employees were required to fill out at the beginning and end of their shifts.
At DoubleOK we did not keep track of our employees hours as we operate on an objectives basis rather than hours basis, however, with the new legislation we feared that was at risk unless we were able to adopt a system that both adhered to the legal requirements while allowing us to maintain our culture.
We searched the market for a solution that would fit our needs and weren't able to find anything that suited our needs, so we created Ficha.Work
If we had to build this solution for ourselves we thought, why not make it available for others?
Since there were other solutions on the market, and new solutions coming out on what seemed like a daily basis, we needed to create a platform with a rich and flexible feature set, and an attention grabbing branding.
The solution entailed allowing companies to provide a mobile app to their employees so that rather than fill out a timesheet on paper they could register their work hours via a mobile app.
By recording their hours via a mobile app we could capture the employees location using GPS (with their consent) as well as send notifications to users that they had forgotten to clock in/out.
Since all employees would be using our solution on a daily basis we thought why not also allow them to request their vacation days via the platform also.
In addition to the mobile application we built a web platform to allow for some of the more data intensive functions (i.e. generating reports) we're a better fit for being done via the web from the comfort of a computer.
So we built a web platform that provided users access to all of the same features as the mobile app, and allowed managers to administrate their organizations from the comfort of their computers.

As is the case with all of our projects, the entire platform was custom developed from the ground up.
